Mad Props to Jamie

My good friend (who now lives in Uganda) introduced me to Jamie's music six years ago. Since then he has been to Atlanta four times and she's always been my Jamie Cullum buddy. Except for this show :( However I was able to invite some Jamie-newbies and he did not disappoint!!! What was even more impressive was the awesomeness of the show despite some pretty frustrating circumstances (getting stuck in customs, getting stuck in Atlanta traffic and having to walk on dry without any sound check/run through/etc). It really said a lot about him that he was thoroughly entertaining and engaging and he'd not even changed out of his "plane" clothes.

He did a pretty mixed set list - the standard version of Cry Me a River sung over JT's musical arrangement of Cry Me a River. I got a kick out of his Bass and vocal version of "I Get A Kick Out of You." But his original "Love Ain't Gonna Let You Down" definitely won my heart. I was so glad he played that song since it was the current jam in my car.

Can' wait to see him again in Tampa...with my friend who is visiting from Uganda!!!

Being able to walk up to my musical idol during the solos of Cry Me a River and get a picture with him was definitely worth the 8 hour drive to ATL. I have been a fan since Pointless Nostalgic and will remain that way for many years to come. I won a bet with a friend of mine about who is a better show and entertainer (and musician) when she bet Michael Buble would be better and I Jamie Cullum. Jamie, you won me $50

This was my first time seeing Jamie Cullum perform and I was absolutely astounded. My mom and I were so determined to see him that we drove down from Greenville, SC in the awful weather that day. We had no idea how charismatic and funny he was, as well as down to earth. This was also the first time we had gotten to hear The Pursuit, which was, naturally, incredible. His energy is unparalleled and his skills on the piano are unbelievable. Jamie Cullum is inspirational and I would go to another of his shows in a heartbeat.
