Not only did I get to see a brilliant gig, but I was fortunate enough to stay in the same hotel as the man himself. A morning of hanging by the pool and talking to Jamie was all I could ever ask for. Awesome gig, awesome morning after.

We had booked our holiday in Catalyna, Spain and a spanish colleague told us about the music festival in Peralada. I went to the music festival's website and couldn't believe my luck when I saw that Jamie Cullum was playing: We saw him in Perugia, Italy several years ago (we didn't know anything about Jamie then...he was warming up for Herbie Hancock...he blew our minds and we have been fans ever since!) and also in Tivoli Copenhagen, Denmark last year. My family and I turned up early and arrived at a magical place - the castle and the grounds in Peralada. The concert was fantastic and the musicians stupendous (Jamie made sure that we could hear how good they were by doing a song without mircrophones etc, which was amazing). Each time these concerts have been totally different and Jamie is one of the best live musicians I have ever seen. Peralada was magical and everything was topped off by drinking the local Cava (sparkling white wine)in the castle gardens after the concert. Thank you to Jamie and his band as well as the magic of Peralada for providing the highlight of our holiday!

After many months waiting for this concert, I could sit in third row and I saw a wonderful concert that I enjoyed every note. I learned a lot watching these great musicians. I hope to become a great bass player like Chris Hill and able to play with amazing musicians such as Jamie, Brad, Tom and Rory. I adore you guys!

Cinco horas de coche para acudir a este concierto. Valió la pena. La calidad de los cuatro músicos que subieron esa noche al escenario en Peralada era extraordinaria. Volveríamos a repetir y volveremos a repetir, seguro! Uno de los mejores directos que he podido ver en mi vida: los músicos, cada uno de ellos: ¡inigualable!!!...La manera de interpretar de Jamie: los solos al piano, jugar con las notas como le da la gana y una puesta en escena que te toca la fibra. Fue un disfrute impresionante, un derroche de gusto por la buena música. Sencillamente ESPECTACULAR.
Sólo me quedó una espinita clavada: Le tenía a sólo 2 metros y uno de mis temas preferidos se me quedó por escuchar "7 Days to change your live"… Otra joya de este joven compositor…espero que al próximo concierto!! GRACIAS, JAMIE, POR HABER VENIDO! Ha sido un verdadero lujo y un auténtico privilegio poder escucharte en directo. Nos volveremos a ver.
