Tomorrow evening my friends and I (5 of us all together!) are going to another friends halloween party.
We're all dressing up as the Addam's Family

! I can't wait it will be very funny! I am Gomez!

! We're all going around my friend Jess' house to get ready so I should think we will all have a good giggle at each other before we go! My friend who is going as my wife (Morticia) is about 5 inches taller than me so that may look very very funny!
I am wearing a black pin stripe suit, a bow tie, drawing on a black moustache, and holding a fake guitar!
In our 'family' we have a Gomez, Morticia, Pugsley, Wednesday & a Grandma (is that actually her name?!

)
I may post some pictures too- depending how brave I am feeling!

looooool^^ I love the Adams Family^^
With 3 friends as crazy as me, we will escort ( I don't know if it's the good word...) my little sister (but it's only a pretext^^) to ask for candies...
I will be a vampire... one of my friends will be Docteur jackal from the manga GetBackers and may be an other one will be a witch...
And after that, we'll stay by me to watch some films... not necessary horror films^^

Tonight I'm going to a benefit for a local hospital dressed as a pirate. I'm sure I won't be the only one, but other than the shirt (which I found cheap at Marshall's ) I was able to use stuff from home to put it together. I even found an eyepatch from a scene I did in high school acting class that my mom never got rid of! More info than you all wanted to know I'm sure....

a lil early, but I was wondering if anyone has any good ideas to help me out this year? I don't want to spend too much money so would like to buy little pieces and maybe put an outfit together myself? Prefereably something dark / to do with halloween, not just a random costume!

Princess Kitty- if you want cheap Halloween stuff Woolworths are doing 'Buy one get one half price' on all the bits and bobs. I know because I work there

!
Last year we had this cool pumupkin costume that was for 8-9 year olds but would have fitted me, I might get it this year if we're doing it again!

Hehe!
Other than that,an even cheaper option is to do what my friend did last year. She dressed as a zombie and just covered herself in loads of bandages and loo roll!

!
Sorry my ideas are naff!

It's that time of year again!I'm going to a party Friday, but I'm still deciding on my costume. Since I've already got a black dress, I'm deciding between either a witch (add witch hat and maybe a little toy black cat) or a goth girl look (add fishnet hose, black boots and appropriate makeup/jewelry)

So I know i'm still a newbie around here and I hardly post, but I just had to chime in on this topic. I'm also going to a party on Friday (with the fiancee), but I still don't know what to dress up as. Especially since my man has decided not to dress up, it makes it a bit more difficult. I don't want us showing up to this thing and one of us is in costume and the other isn't, I'd feel kind of stupid. [:$] I was thinking I could just do something really simple, like some make up and some accessories. Blah, I guess I'll figure it out...lol

I am doing 2 things friday. I am going to see third eye blind in concert, and then I am going to a halloween dance my dorm is having on campus. I'm going as a maquerader. I have my big foofy prom dress, and I'm going either get a mask, or do a really cool makeup design around one of my eyes. It should be fun!
I hope everyone has an awesome time at all of their halloween festivities!

Lupita, do something crazy! I was Superman last year and it only took me a few hours to make the costume. (Hand painted logo and all.) You could do something similar... Batman and Spider-man joined me. The Incredibles and Zorro also made an appearance. Or how about a nursery rhyme thing? Three girls I know went as "Three Men in A Tub." They just cut cardboard in the shape of a tub and walked around in it together (with make-up beards).
Me? I'm going to be "Dr. Bio", my evil alter-ego. I bore people to death giving speeches on eugenics. [lol] Sort of an inside joke. Anyway, I'm going to buy some iron-on transfer paper, print the eugenics logo (a sort of family tree), and iron it onto an old lab coat I have. Then I'm doing my hair all crazy like a mad-scientist.

Those are all great ideas!
Hmm...maybe I'll go as Jamie...jeans, oversized blazer and dress shirt, tie, t-shirt, and the mandatory Vans or Converse. Oh yeah, and the crazy hair too [

lmao!!! That is brilliant!!!!! I almost want to do that, my only problem is that most people here have no clue who jamie is, so I'd look like a normal person with funky hair.

A Halloween joke for you... [
]
A nun gets into a cab, and the driver can't stop admiring her. Finally after staring at her for ten minutes, he stops the cab and says, "I'm sorry sister, but I can't stop thinking about kissing you".
The nun says, "Well my son, I'll kiss you but you must be single and catholic". "I am sister, I am!!" says the driver. So, the nun kisses him like he's never been kissed before, and he starts driving the car again.
A few minutes later the driver is overcome with guilt, "I'm sorry sister I lied! I'm married and I'm not catholic!"
"That's OK" says the nun, "My name is Kevin and I'm going to a Halloween party!" [lol]
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! [

Oy, Anita that was a good one! lmao!!! [Y]
I dressed up as Indiana Jones this year. I managed to put it all together in a couple of hours, it always happens, I end up think of a costume @ the last minute.[^o)] I have a canteen and an Archaeolgist dog tag and a hat from the Indy store at Disneyland and the rest of the stuff like the jacket, trousers and shoes I've had a for a long time.

Is anyone doing anything for Halloween?

Nov 1 2008, 12:56 PM
nope...in Lisbon there wee some parties, but in Portugal we don't really celebrate Halloween.
we celebrate in February, more or less, the Carnival. and if I am not mistaken it is on the same time Brazil celebrates the famous Carnival.
although I went to the movies yesterday and the people who worked there were disguised and the cinema was also decorated.
