The Brand New Pointless Nostalgic message boards will be launched on the evening of Thursday, September 21 and these new boards will include new features and better ways to communicate with the JamieCullum.com community!



As mentioned in the New Discussion Boards Coming Soon thread, please be sure to save all your Private Messages, Profile Information, Signatures and Avatars. These items will not be saved when the new boards are launched.



The launch of the new boards will cause this board to go down for several hours on Thursday. But by Thursday night, the new boards will be up & running.



There are a few things you'll need to know in order to log-in to the new message boards:



-DELETE YOUR COOKIES! - Before anything, please be sure to delete your internet cookies. You can do this by going into your "Options" usually located in the "Tools" section of your browser. If you need any help, please contact us at help@jamiecullum.com and let us know what browser you are using.



-RE-SET YOUR PASSWORD - After you delete your cookies, you'll need to do is re-set your password for the new boards. When the new boards are ready (and we'll let you know when they're ready for you), simply go to the Password Re-set Page and follow the instructions. Be sure to use the same email address you were using in the old Pointless Nostalgic or you'll have to start a new account. You'll then be able to log-in to the new Pointless Nostalgic message boards.

I take it we do this on the NEW board, not the old board...?

And if we delete all our 'cookies', won't that lose any other passwords & log-in information for other sites & forums too?

yes, it will. However, on a PC you should be able to delete just one cookie. Try and find the cookie folder (I have no idea any more where mine was located) and find the PN one.

On a Mac, go to 'preferences' whilst in your browser, go to 'privacy' and opt for 'cookies'. Then find the one you want to remove.

I was just about to ask exactly the same questions!

Anita, if you go to Start - Find - Files and Folders - and then type in Pointless Nostalgic, you should be able to delete all cookies in there belonging to this forum as they'll come up altogether (I had to do it with another website).

unluckily, i won't be able to do that, 'cos i don't have intenet @ home, so i come to a "cyber cafe" (is that the word in english?)
and - from what i was told to do here on the forum - i asked the owner of this place and he said he couldn't delete his cookies.
what will happen in this case? is it that i won't be able to enter the forum anymore? i need answers people! it's not that i don't wanna go to another "cyber cafe", but if i do it i'll lose all my information anyway... And i'll have to make another account.

If you are in an internet café, you will have to log in every single time you log on to the forum, so it'll be fine
