I hear Jamie everywhere. I know there's already a topic called "I hear jamie everywhere" but before you shoot me down in flames for starting a pointless topic what I'm suggesting here is that we build a map of locations where cullum sounds are curently playing, like bars, hotels, shopping centres, ice cream vans and the like, excluding radio though. If it's being played on the radio that doesn't count - it's not local enough (even if it's local radio)
So if you've heard JC being played out and about then post some info about where you heard it and what was playing. eg. Big Al's Leisure Centre, Croydon, playing Fascinatin Rhythm. If this works we can start to build up a map of "world domination" - I may even get a map and some different coloured pins and do it properly!

The store I work in, Marksramer, in Heerenveen (the Netherlands) they often play Everlasting Love and sometimes All at Sea
Also: C1000 (supermarket), Groningen (the Netherlands), playing Get Your Way several times
And: Only yesterday: Wonder Woman, Groningen (the Netherlands), playing Get Your Way
x
EDIT: Good idea! And I would love to see such a map!

The Wye Knot, Symonds Yat (Nr. Ross On Wye, Herefordshire) - UK. Playing: The whole of Twentysomething
Madame Butterfly, Ross On Wye - UK. Playing: Catching Tales (but previously Twentysomething and Pointless Nostalgic)
Natures Choice, Ross On Wye - UK. Playing: The whole of Twentysomething.
Henry's - Monmouth (Monmouthshire) - UK. Playing: Again, the whole of Twentysomething.
Sorry I can't be more specific on songs - Those places are cafes/pubs so I end up hearing the whole record normally
Map idea is fabulous

On a trip home to the UK I heard him playing in Marks and Spencers in The Mall (Cribbs Causeway, Bristol)

It was a good few months back now, May I think, I was looking at shoes/bags. Can't remember what song it was, but I do remember grinning to myself quite a lot
(this is not because I'm insane, this was because I'm not used to hearing Jamie "in public", I've not heard him anywhere in Switzerland yet, but I'll be sure to let you know when I do

)

OK.....a trendy restaurant in Sitges was pumping out TS last week. (Spain)
Laura Ashley in Stratford upon Avon were playing High and Dry yesterday and Marks and Spencers were playing Get Your Way. Hurrah for middle England.

A clubweare-shop at Cologne (they sell only bags and sneakers- I don't remember its name, but I will look for it when I am there next), plays regularly Twentysomething (the whole record), when I bought my last pair of sneakers I told them about Catching Tales (hope they play it also now

).
Also at Cologne I heard a different version of "Frontin" in a second-hand-recordstore which is called "normalrecords". They have a very good jazz- and old-school-funk section. It was a promo-vinyl for DJ-use only but now they can't play it anymore because I swapped it for three other maxis

... I also heard Frontin played (TS-version) in another recordstore ("groove attack").
Then I heard "Everlasting Love" in a supermarket (Monoprix) at Paris (3ième arondissement) when I was there in august (it was between Dido and Shakira, to be honest

).

That is a brilliant idea!
I'm currently hearing a lot of CT in Van Leest (recordshop), The Hague, Holland.
Also heard TS in Gamma (hardware store), The Hague, Holland.
It's about time in V&D, The Hague, Holland.
Think I remember hearing some song of TS in the mall in Rijswijk, also Holland.
Do you want to know more about shops in The Hague or are you looking for different places in Holland itself? Otherwise I'll post everything I hear in here

even in a lost town like the one i live on (la garriga, near barcelona, Spain), they play jamie cullum... I was in the bakery a few days ago and Get yor way started when I was in the queue (then I couldn't stop myself of singing along and the woman next to me was staring me as I was a crazy idiot or something).
I have also listened the whole Catching Tales in the bus from my town to Barcelona, because the driver was a fan and he always plays jamie in long journeys (then I explained him the whole story of my friends and I meeting Jamie after the concert in Bracelona and shouting at him "she (my friend) loves you!)
Last week I was in a Pan's&Co. in Urquinaona (Barcelona) they played "Everlasting LOve" .
And then in a store called "Natura" at Maremagnum in Barcelona, where they were playing "Devil may Care".
I always get really hallucinated when I hear something of Jamie Cullum playing "in public", too...

Hi,
I heard Mind Trick in Dixons in Manchester on the weekend.
Anyone from the US, please speak up! Only see one US location on this thread (student center in LA) and one on the "...seen him everywhere" thread (hotel lobby in Miami Beach) - although I may not recognize some, of course. I have never heard Jamie's music playing in public

unless I was doing the playing (and I'm in NYC, of all places, where Jamie does have a fairly sizable and very loyal fan base, as far as I can see. Guess it's all word-of-mouth.)
Seems Europe (and other places) has it all over us...I don't mean that in a competitive way, just that I'd like to see Jamie's exposure here increase enormously. So I'd be very interested to hear about it if you've heard it (the music, of course).

Today (2.11.2005) I heard "Everlasting love" being played at a cheap clothing store, La Halle, in Flers (a little town in Normandy, France). I personally don't like the song but hearing Jamie brightens up my day anytime.

Are we going to see the outcome of this thread?

CITY: Enter the city you've heard Jamie (for example: Amsterdam)
SHOUTOUT: Here you can put your forum-nickname

Twentysomething (UK version) at a restaurant called Star Dust in Cape Town, South Africa (I request it when I go there now since it's the only restaurant I've ever heard it being played in!

) It's a cute place that has live entertainment by the waiters every 30 minutes and is a shocking purple colour!
Pointless Nostagic (album) - some random shop I was attracted to because I heard Jamie was playing out of it. Not sure what they were selling though...
