i bought a few things, and after i checked out, i went up to him and asked him if i could join him at church on sunday and wednesday....then the BIG question- if he would go to dinner with me one day next week he said yes and told me his work schedule so we can pick a day to go out

Okay, the jerk dumped me. Long story and I don't really want to get into it. Let's just say it was horrible and I cried... a lot. But this week has been great. Happiest I've been in two weeks, honestly.

Now I'm wondering if this guy, Mike, likes me. I've had this suspicion for a while... since last fall sometime. It's makes me feel special. He's a sweet guy... a "real" Christian (he doesn't just say it, but acts it), a guitarist and singer, totally has a "Clark Kent" vibe. Next time I see him, I'm very tempted to be sneaky and put my number in his phone. I've never done something like that. hehe... This crush is totally good for me, too. The only time I really get to see him is at this event put on by the Baptist Student Union that relates pop culture to the Christian lifestyle. (Next week they're doing SNL.) So in order to see him, I have to go there. When I go there, I learn good things. Plus it's fun.

I read it in a magazine years ago! Another trick is to pretend you really need to ring someone because of something and you haven't got your mobile, so you ask to borrow his phone. You secretly ring your own phone and voila! You have his number on your phone, as a missed call.
But, its probably best to go for the text one if you don't want to make the first move!

i'm still really struggling to come to terms with the fact that me and my bf may spilt up when we leave uni and i really don't want to say anything, cos the last thing i want is to spoil the time we have left at uni.

guess i'll have to try and deal with each day and hope for the best.

Aww... Tracey, I feel ya on the room-/housemate front. My sister would be better to help your (or not) with the bf issue. When her and her bf left for uni after high school, they broke up and then got back together in October (this was 2004). Now they're split up for good.

Maybe you can try to "romance" your housemates. Whenever I feel distant from my roommate, we go to Taco Bell or something and hang out and chat. We've spent a couple hours a Taco Bell before. It really helps. If anything, you ought to express your concerns to them. And it's always good to choose a neutral location, like a restauraunt.

Thanks Moon and Me, hopefully the housemate thing will get better, it;s mianly because I haven't been able to go out with them much due to my timetable meaning i'm up early when they aren't etc, and i've made good friends on my course which means i'm not in as much anymore, but i want to leave uni with them as good friends still!

Sorta... Mike played 3 songs at DR tonight. I hung around and helped with tear down (and danced like a fool) afterwards. I saw Mike wandering around, saying hi to people and stuff. Before he got to where I was standing, I saw him go up to a girl who was sitting by herself. I can't really describe what he did, but it became a hug. Now, I don't know what this mean. She may be his sister OR his girlfriend. *shrug* It was affectionate enough to be his gf, but not quite enough to not be his sister... if that makes sense. So I kinda watched their interactions the rest of the night (outta the corner of my eye, of course). They weren't attached at the hip or anything, but they might not be that kind of couple (if they are one).

However! He went around a bit later and passed out FREE copies of his CD. Check it out! I'm listening to it now, and I must say it's pretty amazing, especially for a "poor" recording. (He claims his most recently recorded songs are better quality.) There are samples of the songs on the left side. Best part is, on the inside cover, he listed his phone number and e-mail! So I succeeded in getting his number, just not the way I planned it.

Gonna shoot him an e-mail and tell him how amazing it is.

edit - And then there's this in his "Thank You's"... The part in the box. I'm trying to figure out if the parenthases part and the yes/no/maybe are related. Or if the y/n/m has to do with approval of the CD. I think it's the first option.

I sent him an e-mail about the CD. Knowing that my signature had my room phone # and my address (standard thing at this uni, we're obsessed with contact info), I added my cell at the bottom. I wasn't really sure if this would get results. He e-mailed me back with thanks and another song. I was so excited that he sent me another song, kinda floating on cloud 9 all day. So then I was just chillin' on my couch, watching a History Channel show on Abe Lincoln, and all of a sudden my phone rings. Who the hell is calling me at 10:30 at night? It was Mike wondering what I was doing and if I would like to go to Hastings. I totally went. Rented a movie before they kicked us out, watch the movie, and... I only just got back.

As my friends arent being much help Ive come here for some advice, so please give some. I was in the park with my friends after school having a water fight when Luke came along (he lives oposite the park).This boy is one who I have loved for just under a year ( we werent going out but it was that feeling I got from when ever I just saw him). He joined in with us and when he went to refill his water bottle, my friend and I went to call our parents so we could stay later than we said. We came back and the rest of friends had been talking to him. They had told him that I liked him and he had said he kind of liked me too.

The problem is I already have a boyfriend, hes really sweet and he loves me but I know I dont love him, I like him of course. But to be truthful hes actually boring. Should I break up with him? I think so - someone will tell him what happened after school and even if he doesnt hearI cant string him along when I still like someone else. But could I have some tips on dumping him? Its the first time Ill have dumped someone.

The other problem is that I know I love Luke but when my friends asked if he liked me, he only said " Kind of ". Should I go out with him knowing he doesnt love me as a much as i do him? Or is he one of those guys who won;t admit their feelings and he really does like me. We did flirt a little bit last year so he must have liked me before, but a couple of months ago my best friend saw him flirting with another girl. Oh, and also hes 6foot1 and Im well short (I dont know my height).
