Who were these "people"? Fellow students? From your year?
Murf, Princess Diaries 2 isn't out yet in my country, but I would really consider watching it if I had the money!
Cinderella? Pooh. Michael Chad Murray puts me to sleep, sorry. lol. I'll wait for it to be shown on cable.

Spike Lee's film the 25th Hour, staring Ed Norton has just been on sky movies, personally i loved it, but im biased towards Norton.
Has anyone else seen this, i thought the bathroom scene, Nortons soliquiy(sp) to the bathroom mirror, is powerful, and really makes you think. And i almosted cried at the ending too.
Another film i saw last night was The Secretary. Thoiught it was good, but odd.

i went to see bride and prejudice last night with my auntie, best film i've seen in ages.
three reasons i like that movie:
1. the main character has the same name as me, spelt the SAME way (thats a first)
2. the english (horrible) one in it is TOO sexy
3. in true bollywood fashion they did not have a kiss in the film
i was VERY impressed by it

Last film I saw was Saw. I had been warned that it was a bad choice of film to see with someone you were supposed to be avoiding cuddling up to. Being the fool I am, I told everyone I don't really get scared at films so it wouldn't be a problem.
I was wrong.

Vixie: I watched 9/11 today & thought it was great, very thought provoking
Finally got to see 9/11 today and i agree, very good film. Micheal Moore's a very interesting, intelligent guy and i think it's quite a relief to see that someone is taking notice and drawing attention to things which would otherwise be kept quiet.
Bridget Jones 2 is good, funny, maybe not as good as the first but i always think that about sequels coz the general idea's not new anymore!

Went to see The Grudge. Not sure why coz i'm a total wimp and nearly kacked it!!! Very creepy, not a great story though.
After The Sunset is quite funny, far too many shameless shots of Salma's fabulous breasts and arse though!! Pierce is looking a bit old, the beginnings of some impressive man-boobs are showing too!!

Just seen another couple of films: Face/Off and Alfie. Face/Off is a bit gory (I mean, I don't really want to see a man wandering round without a face), but it's clever without being confusing. Which is good. The cinematography is fantastic, I loved the scene with the two mirrors. Alfie is also a brilliant (although slightly less deep) film. Apart from the obvious benefit of starring Jude Law, it's funny, touching and quite enlightening! The asides didn't get to me as much as I thought they would. I'd recommend both films.

face off is a brilliant film, i love the evilness in the characters.
and as anna says not xconfusing which is a first!
erm.... not sure abuot alfie tho, i was left feeling quite miffed abuot the ending.
its like nothing really happened and the film just had no point coz it didn't have a conclusion....does that make sense?
anyway. just my thoughts

oh REALLY wanna go and see the corporations till, has anyone seen it?

Nov 20 2004, 11:05 PM
Yeah I can kind of see what you mean about the ending of Alfie. My friends thought it was an anticlimax and I can see their point. But then again, I get really bored of the eternal predictable happy endings, everyone happy and snuggly, la la la... Sometimes it's a relief not to have all the loose ends tied up.

P.S. Sorry if I've given too much away about the film!
