I've already been waxing lyrical about the film I saw last night in another thread, but I suppose this is the appropriate place for it, so I'll copy what I said!
I went to see "les Poupees Russes" (Russian Dolls - don't know if that's the official English title) last night and I highly recommend it - although I don't know if it's out where you are... it probably will be released in the UK at some point, coz it's a Franco-British collaborative effort... but alas, probably not in most mainstream cinemas

as it's not all in English and the 'powers that be' seem to turn their noses up at that! It is in a mixture of French/English/Russian (although mostly French) and set in Paris/London and St Petersburg.
It's the sequel of l'Auberge Espagnole (released in English as Pot Luck, I think!)

they are both FANTASTIC! The first one is about a French student who goes to study in Barcelona for a year - and it sums up perfectly the sort of experiences and emotions 'living abroad', and then returning home, provokes. The sequel is set 5 years later.
I'm am really happy I enjoyed the sequel - that is quite a feat, as the first was brilliant and is still one of my favourite films! Especially difficult as it's not a 'formulaeic' film - was just a sort of 'life' story - but he (Cedric Klapisch, the director) managed somehow to take the characters on in a way that didn't seem forced, unnatural or repetetive! All the old cast made an appearence, but only some were still main characters, so now they are no longer students, but are approaching 'la trentaine' and dealing with life, love and work...
...and just to encourage you to see it by way of a contribution to all your fruity imaginations, there is a *hilarious* scene in the middle where, mid-argument, the main character's girlfriend storms out of his flat and runs down the street (starkers!) and he chases after her, also running down the street (starkers!).... then he catches her up and they make up while standing on a traffic island... much to the bemusement of some (fully clothed!) passers-by!!
