I´m so glad that Michael could be of some help, Anita[wink.gif][lol]
Starbuck

Ballack's goal was amazing, he knew right where it was going the minute he hit it... superb! [biggrin.gif]

Robben's yellow card for diving in the area... it was so funny when they replayed it, because the defender made no contact at all! [lol]

And one of Porto's players ended up with a huge bandage on his head after getting elbowed by one of his own team!!! [lol]

atroi
I haven´t seen it yet.....must check the program today...this evening I have to feel for Munich....very hard, but it is necessary for the nation´s score......and I hope they can manage half-finals because I want them to be really tired in the Liga ....[wink.gif] and loose some more there[wink.gif][tongue.gif]
Starbuck

Real Madrid have a 3-2 lead, but if Bayern win 1-0 tonight, Bayern will go through on away goals. [smile.gif]

Celtic start with a blank sheet - no goals were scored in the last leg, but a 1-1 draw would see them through on the away goals rule. [smile.gif]

Man Utd.... no, let's not even talk about them! [tongue.gif] [lol]

Arsenal have to come from behind as well, they lost the first leg 1-0 to PSV.

atroi
there you go, Anita, Munic is still in.......Makaay scored yesterday after 10 seconds!!!  I´ve just sat down and fetched my lemonade....and .....boom!![lol]

Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Manchester United and PSV Eindhoven booked their places in the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday, dashing English hopes of making European football history.

Bayern stormed back from a 3-2 defeat in Spain to beat Real 2-1 on the night and qualify on the away goals rule after a 4-4 aggregate, while United beat Lille 1-0 at Old Trafford for a 2-0 aggregate win, ending an acrimonious knockout round tie.

PSV drew 1-1 at Arsenal, their defender Alex scoring an own goal and then the vital late equaliser to secure a 2-1 win over the two legs and deny England the chance of becoming the first country to put four clubs into the last eight.

Milan needed extra time to get past Celtic as their Brazilian playmaker Kaka scored a fine winner in the 93rd minute after the teams had been goalless for 180 minutes.

Bayern, United, Milan and PSV will join 2005 winners Liverpool, Chelsea, AS Roma and Valencia, who all qualified on Tuesday, in the quarter-final and semi-final draw on Friday.

I told Anita in tenara that it will be of course :  Chelsea vs. Munich in the finals.....[biggrin.gif]
Starbuck

OMG... yesterday's FA Cup quarter final between Chelsea & Spurs... what a game!!! [ohmy.gif]

Spurs scored first, Frank Lampard equalised for Chelsea, Michael Essien scored an own goal for Chelsea & Ghaly scored to put Spurs 3-1 up... & that was all before half-time!!! [ohmy.gif]

Both Arjen Robben & Jermaine Defoe both went close to scoring for either team, & Essien tried to make ammends for his own goal, only to shoot about a foot wide of the net. [:S]

Lampard pulled a goal back for Chelsea soon in the second half & Salomon Kalou scored the final goal of the game in the last 10 minutes to ensure a replay a week on Monday. [biggrin.gif]

Defoe had a chance to win it for spurs in injury time but hit the bar yet again. [rolleyes]

The draw for the FA Cup semi-finals will take place at 1330 GMT TODAY.

Blackburn and Watford are the only two clubs definitely through after they saw off Manchester City and Plymouth respectively in the quarter-finals.

Middlesbrough, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham are also in the hat but are all facing replays.

Live coverage of the draw is on BBC Two, BBC Radio Five Live, the BBC Sport website and on Ceefax, with matches set to take place on 14-15 April.

atroi
Bundesliga today:   Schalke vs. Stuttgart......let you know how it ended later
Val

I wish I could tell you the difference between them all but I have no idea myself.

Poor Newcastle lost on Thursday. I wouldn't mind but they were 4-2 up from the first leg of the thing! [lol] Ah well, I'll have to put up with the Premiership [rolleyes]

atroi
Hahaha.......*Atroi embracing the little? Irish girl*....we´ve actually won!!! Wow!!  That makes up for a lot that´s been bad lately.....I know I´m weird[rolleyes][ph34r]
Val

Starbuck

Chelsea beat Spurs 2-1 in the cup quarter final replay & go through to the semi's!!! [biggrin.gif]

Violent conduct marred the end result... such a shame the ground staff weren't more secure at the whistle...

Lampard nearly got punched in the face by a drunk Spurs fan that got on the pitch after the game!!! [angry]

<<< Nice duck from Lampard to avoid the punch though! [biggrin.gif]

But hakuna matata about being in england's group, we're both going to make it through past the group stage i think.

Ahhhh, a Schalke 04 fan!!!! I don't know if I've ever met one of your kind before!
I swear, the next time i meet a person in america who says "oh yea, i like football, Man U is my favorite team" and the only players they can name in the world are Wayne Rooney, Lio Messi and Christiano Ronaldo, I'm going to vomit.

No, in america, all we have is Major League Soccer (MLS) and no one really follows that. And all the good players are on loan in Europe, hahahaha. If americans want to follow football, they have to get into european sport
atroi
oh I see.....
Schalke has two important games, next sunday and wednesday....(and I got wednesday off....yippee!)
atroi
well, well, well....munich lost today laugh.gif ...and if Schalke could possibly win tomorrow...there would be a happy atroi biggrin.gif

Very nice! another unfortunate thing about america is that it's difficult to catch good football games, without paying a lot for a special sports TV subscription. Chelsea have a must-win against portsmouth tomorrow, but I can't watch because it's not on TV.

I will be honest, I assumed you were a guy, as I am one myself! I don't know why I did!
atroi
laugh.gif laugh.gif sorry to disappoint you, I am def. female... laugh.gif

too bad, that you cannot watch european football that easily...I always was told that America is a country of all opportunities ;-) .....no chance to catch an european TV programme by sattelite?

Now this female football freak is waving goodbye...the sun is shining, finally spring has arrived, and the garden awaits me....tell you tomorrow about the game tonight, okay?

haha, not a disappointment at all. I've kindof assumed i'm in the minority on these boards, being a guy (based on all the "Jamie is so hot" talk, hahaha). I could probably get some satellite european football, but I can't afford that :-)
Needless to say, Chelsea put a drubbing on poor old Pompey last night, 5-0
atroi
oh no, I feel like having a hangover....we lost.....canīt anything go right for once??

how much would a satellite system cost you?
atroi
ole ole ole ole.......aha...schalke has won.....yipppeeee!!! Big celebration overhere....Iīm getting drunk!! laugh.gif
