I just discovered how much my brother was a talented musician. I knew he was a great drummer, but is a good pianist and guitarist too ! At the moment he's playing on the Fender his friend gave him. He's playing Bloc Party songs

sorry for having been away, but this semester I have a terrible schedule.
every single day I arrive home at 10pm and I have a lot to study and translate.
I hope I can write a little review on Jason's Mraz show of last week. I can say in advance that was one of the most fabulous days of my life. Only Jamie's and The National's gigs can overcome this feeling.
hope to write here soon,
c a r o l .

Just found out my gran is in hospital but the thing is we have a family house party organised for my brother's 18th on Saturday and a bit worried it might be affected.
I know that sounds bad but with mum dying last September me and dad have tried our best to make bro's 18th at least half decent and he's already spent alot of money on food and drink.
My gran might be fine, but she's 84 and I think people are worried...
God, that sounds awful.

well, I have been to the hospital, I took my medication and I am good now. I had an infection in my lungs.
I am a little bit worried though. This month ends the enrollment for Erasmus. I am hoping to get in King's College in London or in Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. I am worried because I really want to go to London, I am trying to save as much money as I can, but I am not sure if I will win the application because there are a lot of students that want to go to King's College too.
plus, my grandmother who is now 83 years old has a mass on her brain. we are still waiting to find if it is a tumor or not. she has been having other health problems too, and there are days that I really feel she is disorientated and sleepy.
I have an horrible timetable this semester. I am barely sleeping and I am the one dealing with all these problems. I am feeling exhausted and I practically don't have any social life.

I'm playing piano tonight for my high school's honors choir concert. I'm accompanying four people. The songs are "The Call" by Regina Spektor, "In My Life" from Les Miserables, "The Wizard and I" from Wicked, and "colors of the wind" from Pocahontas (oh, what memories this song brings back. pocahontas was my FAVORITE movie as a child).
anyway, it should be fun. I'm a tad nervous (though not nearly as nervous as i was last year).
Wish me luck!

hi guys!
I am sorry for being away! this trip is killing my brain!
I was away for an entire month attending almost all the Portuguese summer festivals and then I took some days to rest.
I'll arrive on London the 10th September, but King's College isn't sending me any e-mails. I still don't know the day I can move in. I will stay in a Residence which is good because I will save some money.
I miss this terribly, but now I am here and I will follow the new album with you!
