Some people are way too lucky!

My parents decided to change the colours of the walls. So my entirely-white apartment will soon be green. It doesn't really match the furniture I think but well... it's my parents' choice.
I haven't chosen the colours for my room yet. I'll probably end up with awful walls. Ha!

I am still alive, just had a busy week!

And yes you can ask why I hate christmas. It has nothing to do with a traumatic happening, don't worry


But for me is christmas very dissembling. Why join the society just at christmas, you know what I mean?
And the most important thing are the presents. That force to give presents has nothing to do with christmas I think. Just the stores are lucky in christmas time, because of the volume of sales
But I'm absolutely alright with people who like or love christmas. As long as I'm not affected by that christmas love. And I wish many people a merry christmas but when there are people who love christmas then it's not illegal to hate christmas. Without contrasts the world would be boring

(Oh, and please excuse my bad english, I'm german... ^^)

Today I had an oral presentation.

I chose Jamie Cullum as the theme of my work.
I spoke about Jamie as a musician and as person and explained why he was so precious in my life.
At the end I put High and Dry/Singing in the Rain live on Glastonbury from the DVD.

I think I did well...I said some mistakes (verbs I guess) and I forgot to refer the stompbox, but I felt good in the end.

When I finished, everybody clapped and one girl said to me "You looked so passionated when you were watching the dvd"...

It really made my day...
Jamie if I got a 16 on my work, you will be my heroe for this semester!

That is so cool Carol!!!! I´m sure you did it great, talking about Jamie it´s perfect for any occation... Let us know how was it!!

I suppose the teacher will be giving the mark on the end of the month.

I was so nervous...But then I felt like Jamie feels on the piano...I was talking about my idol, I was sharing myself in a way no one in that room will ever understand. As soon as I saw the pictures I chose, I started to talk, following my outline.

When they clapped I felt happy...I hope they will start listening to Jamie now!

I start back at uni on Monday so I may not be around to post quite so much....(i always say that and yet i'm always here!!)

So, you're pretty much like me

You're starting on monday? Here in Portugal all Uni are on final exams.
The classes finish on the 25th January...Then we'll have a month of vacations...

The rest of the uni went back on the 7th but us journalism post graduates get an extra week for work experience (i did mine before xmas), so i've been revising all week.

My first exam is on the 31st of Jan and I have another on 6th Feb..the rest are in April and May (although i don't know when my shorthand one will be yet).

Back to the crazy world of uni next week!

Have you had any exams? (i know you had the presentation, but any others)

I'll have 2 next week (one is French the other one is, and I don't know how to say it in English, Lexicografia & Lexicologia, which simply is talking about dictionaries of all kind and languages) and I'll have a timed discursive essay on class (in English).

On the 22nd I'll have an oral exam in English and an exam of Terminology of Human and Social Sciences.

Finally, on the 24th, I'll have the most difficult exam - Terminolgy of Science and Thecnic

ps- I really don't if this is well spelled...It's a shame considering I am taking a Translation degree...It's my first year.

Forgot to mention that here, at least in my course, we still have classes while we have exams.
