We have similar thing in the shape of a cloth snowman with little pockets. Small things like chocolate coins can be put into the pockets, but sometimes ,for larger items, I leave a little message - or have even started a treasure hunt with a message and several clues! I'll be doing that with the hat, scarf and gloves I've got over 3 of the days ...... Sometimes the messages are instructions for Christmas makes ...once it was a recipe for cookies to then hang in the tree! Yes, very versatile ....... biggrin.gif

Can I join in your treasure hunt?, it sounds like lots of fun biggrin.gif

Wish I was still at the "receiving" end rather than the "giving" end of Advent Calendars - but that's life smile.gif

.....but at least my 16 year old baked some Christmas biscuits for us all last night! Putting that recipe in her Advent Calendar a few years ago obviously has paid off laugh.gif wink.gif

That's why I am making the most of the Advent Cullumdar tongue.gif

We now have an office calendar, but as there is 3 of us, we have to take it in turns to eat the chocolate!

This year I am in London. I am flying back to Lisbon for Christmas, but I really like this time of the year, so I went to Sainsbury's and bought some Christmas lights and other decoration things tongue.gif

I need to make a list of presents I want to take to Portugal, but I haven't had the time to actually sit and think about it.

It's good you get to go home for Christmas smile.gif

It would be a great idea if they had another Christmas in the middle of the year. This would be fun. Have one Christmas day every sixth months. Christmas morning are so much fun to enjoy.
