'Miss Dahl's Voluptuous Delights', Sophie's (31) debut cookery book, combines her love of writing with her insatiable passion for food.

More than a collection of recipes, the book charts Sophie's journey from a perpetually hungry child, to the curvaceous model who turned the heroin-chic world of nineties fashion on its head.

Plagued by a relentless media interest in her subsequent weight-loss, this book is an answer to all those often-asked questions, an autobiographical trip down a culinary memory-lane.

She says: "People still ask me incessantly about my body and my weight and what I eat, so I though this was a way of answering those questions in a dignified manner. I am not an authority on anything much, but I do know about eating.”

Sophie's love for food has been informed by a big extended family full of lively characters. She says: "I grew up surrounded by food lovers; my parents Tessa and Julian were natural cooks and both sets of grandparents were known for a full table.”

Jamie had a mention of course and Eammon read out Sophie's lovely dedication to Jamie from her book....but which Jamie is it to? wink.gif lol!
