1. a. Does Jamie read this forum?
Yes, he does. His forumname is Semprini. To read Jamie's posts have a look here

b. Why Semprini?
Well, I asked him in Amsterdam and it's a Monty Python thing. So no fancy pianists, or any other odd things. It's a Monty Python thing. Lemon posted the transcript of the sketch.

2. If you want to know what your fellow forumites look like, you can see them here. Cheers Drawds. Unfortunately a lot of older pictures are broken now after several site moves. Shame.

3. a. Is there any way forumites can recognise eachother during gigs?
Yes, after much deliberation, it has been decided: a ribbon around your wrist.

b. Does Jamie know about the ribbon?
Yes he does. He wore a black ribbon on one of the London gigs, but took it off after a few songs. Reportedly, it was in the way of his piano playing. I can't find the thread, there are so many Sheperd's Bush gig-threads floating around. You just have to take my word for it.

4. Member status?
Here's the list of member status:

member: 20
advanced member: 100
I'm here all the time: 500
Fresh air?: 1000
Nothing (else) I Do: 5000
21st Century Kid: 10000

5. Cartoon Cullum
Cartoon Cullum has become somewhat of a legend on here. First created by moomin in 2004, it sort of evolved into a cult, muchly liked by Jamie himself.

The Original Cartoon Cullum

Then it went haywire, and together with Drawds the wonderful moomin created
The Everlasting Love Cartoon Cullum. This made it onto Dutch telly and a mention in Heat Magazine.

Every now and then Jamie does a special forum interview. Find the first interview here, much kudos to Moomin, Lemon2000 and of course Mokuscam and Semprini for making this possible. The second one was a live Q&A on the forum in June 2005 and can be found here, and again thank you to Semprini and Mokuscam and the admin team for their time and work behind the scenes. Seeing as this Q&A took place in 2005, posting new questions in the threads is of no use as they will not be answered.

A newer forum interview is here, and the answers have been filmed. All current bandmembers were involved in this one as well and it's been lovely to hear their perspective on things.

8. Does PN For ever give Jamie presents?
Yes! As far as PN history goes, it all started with a scrapbook in 2004 for Jamie's 25th birthday. Annabolic went backstage at V festival to personally deliver it and you can read her rather fabulous write up here. And this is where the idea started. The forum made snowflakes with their Christmas wishes for t'boy in 2005. me28 collected them and together with Flick she personally delivered the box pre-Amsterdam gig in December 2005. You can read about it here and see the video they made of it here. He, and I quote, "felt the love". For Valentine's Day 2006, FatimaDenmark put together Valentine's wishes for Jamie and gave it to him in Denmark. Read about it here. For Jamie's birthday in 2006 Babycat23 organised a scrapbook, which was sent to Jamie's management. Read about it here. A group of forumites made Jamie and the band a traditional advent calendar for December 2006. Read about it here.

Going by this, Jamie owes us a drink.

9. Oh goodness, this is different!

Well spotted, yes it is. In September 2006 the forum moved house to become an integral part of the jamiecullum.com website. This also entailed a change in software and the introduction of some new site administrators who are continually working on things. If you have any problems you can post them in the help section. If you have any suggestions on how to improve the forum please post them in the suggestion box.

If you want to do invisible writing (useful for plot spoilers in threads about Lost, etc.) then the colour code is #EBE6D3 (i.e. color=#EBE6D3 with the ]'s).

NOTE: It will completely blend into the background *highlight*so you need to do little stars, like this!*highlight*

Why isn't there a link to jc.com on the top of the page anymore? huh.gif

I have a couple questions...

1. What does it mean when a topic is "pinned?" I did look for this answer in other topics but couldn't find an answer.

2. Also, how long will I have "newbie" status? Is it based on how many posts I make?

1. This means that a topic will remain at the top of the forum. Topics that aren't pinnded vary in place and go to the top when they have the most recent reply. Sometimes topics are important that they should stay at the top, so everybody can see them

2. Your member status depends on the number of posts as is described in the first post of this thread
