I've been receiving some complaints about some signatures being absolutely massive.

Massive pictures slow down loading of the pages, which is especially a nightmare for people on slow connections.

Yes, you can set your board setting to block signatures, but I feel this is going a tad far, if people have massive signatures that could easily be altered.

Now, I'm not going around editing or deleting people's signatures, but I'm posting the signature rule here, as can be found in the board rules. I would like to ask those whose signatures are larger than 'allowed', to please consider adjusting them.

Thanks. I definitely think its become a problem again! I really like seeing peoples signatures but when I have to scroll down half a page (literally) its a bit mad and it does effect readability, massively.

I just had a play around in paint (where the 'image' + 'attributes' button tells you how big your image is) and as a guide, 300x100 is this size:

(I'm no graphic designer, so it's plain and boring, but you get the idea)

Also if you go to My Controls and then Edit Sig, you can click on "Check Length" to make sure it's not too long

Well I think it is a normal plain banner with some text that could go. Millan's, Fb's and Jazzo's are (i.e. the three posts above this one) good examples of how to keep it nice

I know people put a lot of love and effort in their sigs... it was not an attempt to boycot sigs... !!! Merely pointing out.

err.... hehe.. think I might have been one of those problem-children I've made it smaller (with the help of the talented millan ) but I'm not sure if ut's still to big (proberly is ) but I really love it... will make it a bit smaller again.... but can't do it til I come home from school (having a math class now)
