Well, what can I say? Jamie & the band were AWESOME last night!!! Myself, Stuart T & his mum Della met up with Cara, her mum Janet, JA, Triff & Mini Miles & her friends & family before it all started, it was nice to put some faces to some names (sorry we missed you, Jill ). The Simon Gall Band (or the gall bladder band! LOL) were very good, they played some great songs. Next up were Hue & Cry (now both VERY bald!) but they played some great songs too, including Looking For Linda, I Refuse, Ordinary Angel & Crazy In love that they sang on HMBOMT. As Hue & Cry were finishing up, me & Cara spotted Geoff, Seb & Sam standing at the side of the artists marquee watching the band, so we shouted to them & Geoff waved to us & smiled! Then, the main event... the minute Jamie & the band walked on stage, they OWNED it! Jamie had so much energy & was throwing himself all over the place & jumping off the piano like there was no tomorrow!!! He started on his own with Wind Cries Mary, which included the now obligatory piano thumping & head-banging!!! The mad bit seemed even madder last night... maybe it was my imagination, but it seemed that way. Then the rest of the guys came on... Geoff waved to us again!!! The set was amazing & the new songs are soooo good... they played Get your Way (which I got in whole on video - must work out how to get that posted), Photograph (including a lovely accoustic guitar solo from Jamie), London Skies (beautiful lyrics) & Mind Trick (which he credited as a collabaration between him & Ben). There was a bit of comedy when, while Jamie was doing a lovely tinkly piano solo, Sam's drum machine went off by itself!!! LOL Jamie was in absolute stitches, trying to finish the solo but laughing the whole time... when he had finished, he played a few lines of "Bad Day" & it was Sam's turn to smile... this got a huge laugh & a round of applause from the crowd!!! Then it was time for the last song... Jamie was playing a lovely piano solo when a guy in the crowd shouted out "JAMIE I WANT TO HAVE YOUR BABIES!!!" Jamie absolutely cracked up laughing again & replied "Well, I don't think its actually scientifically possible, but I'll try anything!" That got a host of wolf whistles & cheers from the crowd & when Jamie finally left the stage, it was to a raptuous applause!!! When the gig had finished, we hung around to see if Jamie was coming over... the security stewards were trying to make us leave but we were having none of it... we could see him stood behind the stage area, giving an interview. Then, Geoff came out from the artists marquee, so we called to him & he came over... he gave us both a kiss through the fence!!! Cara thanked him for blowing her a kiss & he said thanks for coming... we asked if Jamie was coming over to see us & he said "Yeah, I am just going to get him!" So Geoff wandered off to speak to Jamie & get him to come over. Jamie was super-sweet & said he wasn't leaving until he had spoken to everyone. Us forum members hung back a bit so we could have Jamie to ourselves!!! When it was my turn, he said "Aaaah, I remember your face from Edinburgh... it's ummm.. Funtin, right?!?!" Then, before I could even speak, Jamie said "How are you doing, & HOW IS LUKE?" How sweet of him to ask!!! Anyway, we had a little chat & I passed on a letter from one of the forum members (very important job, succesfully delivered!) & it was all a bit of a blur... we had photos taken (several times, due to Jamie looking half asleep & me cutting the top of Stuart's head off!!!) We finally left the castle at 11:35pm... & got home at 2:45am!!!

This was the first time I had seen Jamie perform and it was brilliant! The atmosphere was fantastic and the castle in the background made it a wonderful setting. Jamie had the whole crowd with him and his energy while he played made this an extremely enjoyable evening!

Oh boy. Wasn't he just fab?! He was so good. I have seen other people live but Jamie has come out on top once again. He's the only solo guy singer who can really get a crowd going. Everyone knew the songs and he loved it. I could tell. Well im sure my mate could tell too but she aint writing the review!!! And Jamie if you ever read this, YOU ARE BRILLIANT!!! mwah!!xxxx
