But that boy can put on one hell of a performance and he's cute as all hell. From start to finish the sound quality from the acoustics was amazing. The vt and lighting was spot on to the last second, and Jamie was on top form, jumping about like a nutter, harmonising, even getting the crowd to participate in a spine tingling cover of Radioheads High and Dry. He played probably 50/50 between his new album Catching Tales, and his first major release Twenty Something, the latters title song he played with a magnificent vt chalkboard effect which went from scribblings of the bard to sums equating to the difference between love and lust. The mood was electric and well, Jamie was buzzing off it I think. He jumped around, he played drums on the piano and smashed the keys with his piano stool. I swear, that boy, when he hits his hyper stage, he's like animal from the muppets when he forgot to take the ritalin. Songs such as all at sea, Because there is you, and High and dry were all solely smokey piano softness, with the lights down low, and this amazing feeling that really, although you were sat in the royal albert hall, you were actually in an intimate jazz bar. There was a solitude and warmth to the mood, radiating from him, that made you feel closer, and sent tingles through your entire being. And as Jamie played high and dry and broke in to the final chords he asked the audience to harmonise with him. The sound that floated through that hall, it was as peaceful and beautiful as the choir at st Pauls. And then it was all over far too soon. He did an encore, playing I could have danced all night, and then left the stage to a standing ovation. Top Bannana!!!

The gig was absolutely amazing! It was brilliant when Jamie came into the crowd and sat down to watch... loved frontin' as well, never seen anyone sing without a microphone just relying on the acoustics. I was blown away by the whole set, the perfect blend of old and new. Thank you so much for an unforgettable evening x

Fantastic night! I went with a friend who did not really know his music or what to expect, and they have now been converted to a Jamie Cullum fan. I defy anyone to see him live and not enjoy it!

Monday was my 16th birthday so it was amazing seeing Jamie...i could hear on his CDs that he was talented and was so excited about going to see him but i had nooo idea how amazing he was live.his personality really shows through his music,he was inspiring to watch. i had heard in previous reviews that he tends to go a bit wild and throw things at his piano, and i'd seen him hitting it on t.v but wow it was effective!the percussive use of the piano was unbelievably awesome(the drummer also did a similar thing and that was amazing too). i just cant describe how talented jamie is-he came into the audience and sung without a microphone and his voice was still powerful! i came away with an aching jaw from smiling non stop all evening and i wanted to go and see him again on the tuesday! anyone that hasnt been to see jamie cullum has to go!he's incredible and such an inspiration xxx
