Hi everybody, Here we go: the Berlin gig review. I just returned from the concert and since I wonít be able to sleep right away anyway, I decided to write this review. The show was absolutely brilliant. I arrived at the church (yes, it was in a church) at 6.30pm, doors opened at 7 and I got to 2nd row which was practically on the stage, wow!!! BeadyBelle started at 7.45pm and played for about 45 minutes. They were alright, I liked most of their songs, even though the singer sounded a bit weird a couple of times. She didnít sound bad, just a bit weird. Jamie started at 9pm with ìNature Boyî. He explained it seemed to be the appropriate song for a church. He continued with ìThese are the daysî and ìGet your wayî. I didnít write a set list because I was too busy enjoying myself. The audience got wilder and better with every single song. After about one hour the band took a break and Jamie played ì21st century kidî (I am not sure about it, but I think it was that song) and ìPhotographî all by himself. Afterwards Seb played a great long solo on the drums, the floor, the piano (he poked it with his sticks, Jamie shut his eyes and kind of ran off), and on Geoffís bass, amazing! At the end everybody sang Happy Birthday to Geoff. The show ended with ìI could have danced all nightîÖby then nobody was sitting any more. All in all it was an excellent 2-hour-mixture of old and new songs. I even took a couple of pictures (cameras were not allowed but I took mine and took pictures before security told us not to use flash). We were not invited on the stage but we were almost on the stage anyway and there wasnít much room, either. After the concert I got my CT-cover signed, a picture, and two kisses (wow, this manís skin is as soft as a babyís and he smells great). The perfect end of the perfect concert. I canít wait for the Cologne-gig now. I asked Jamie whether they would play ìMind Trickî in Cologne and he told me they would. The just didnít play it tonight because they had played it 5 times earlier in the day. Well, so much for now. I am going to bed nowÖdreaming of Jamie and this amazing concert.

Just fab ! A super venue - a beautiful church, with super acoustics, great atmosphere and of course a wonderful, energising performance. Jamie won the German audience over with ease, his first but certainly not his last gig in Berlin. I took my Mum ( who came all the way from Brum to join me here ) and it was a specially lovely moment when we bumped into him on the church steps later and briefly chatted and had a photo taken. All the other members of the band were super talented ( what else ? )and Beady Belle, his "support" group also really good. My highlights were his solo unaccompanied Nature Boy, What A Difference ... and I Could have Danced encore. The improvised Fascinating Rhythm section was highly entertaining and proof of his enormous piano skills. But the bit I liked best was when he suddenly snag a riff from Pussycat Dolls " Don¥t Cha ". I bet you had a boyfriend who¥s hot like me ..... Well, YES !!!!
