from Femke de Vos Burchart

The trio was on a roll. The crowd was briliiant. And standing gigs are just so much better for the atmosphere than seated ones. The whole gig was perfect, even with Jamie almost hitting his head at the ceiling when he stood on the piano. First time I heard 'Why do today what you can do tomorrow'. I was really keen to hear that song and it's beautiful. Jamie is a great guitarist. 'My generation' was great too. Of course the usual repertoire was played. Seb's tin-whistle solo during 'Next year, baby' was a nice touch! And most of the crowd singing along to 'These are the days', fantastic! 'Blame it on my youth' left me baffled and in tears. All in all, this gig was on such a high level, I was gob-smacked at times. It took me days to recover from this gig. It's one that I won't forget lightly.
