So, here it was, my first ever Jamie gig. And it certainly lived up to the excitement from the day leading up to it. In an auditorium filled with die-hard jazz fans, it took a while for the crowd to get going. But the energy sparked off the tiny stage and I think all 300 people there must have realised that this was one special gig. I was moved to tears by 'But for now' and 'Lover, you should have come over'. The sing-along during 'High and Dry' was pretty amazing. I was in awe of the sheer enjoyment of the trio, the way they play together is so intuitive and pure, it's marvellous to watch. Seb's drum solo at the beginning of "Wind cries Mary' deserves a special mention! Brilliant! All in all, it was an amazing gig, one that will certainly be talked about for years to come.
