I had a great time at Jamieís picnic. The music, the sun, the people, the atmosphere... it all added up to one perfect afternoon. And despite the heat wave, with Jamie a lazy Sunday afternoon is definitely out of the question. He had us all jumping up and down in no time, even though the temperature was at least 30 degrees! The energy and enthusiasm of Jamie and his band really get to you. They are great performers. Made me forget Iím soon not even thiry-something anymore... Thanks!

Well, I doubt I have been this filthy in my life, as it was hot and sandy, but it was great! A whole day filled with music and well over 2 hours of Jamie. And even though I was queueing half the gig to buy food I still had a good time. It was nice to hear a full version of It Had To Be You, nice to see Mr. Rory Simmons playing so so well as the new addition to the band, Seb singing and playing piano, Seven Nation Army with the loop machine was exquisite and even the whole crowd singing along to Everlasting Love made even that song bearable! Well done, guys. The Dutch love you, more than we could ever hope for I think. You even had security at your tourbus... When did that happen ;)?

We were visiting Holland from Hawaii and the teenaged son of our host family suggested we go. It was one of the best concerts we had ever been to and we have been to many, many concerts from Janis Joplin in the sixties to, most recently, Sting in Luxembourg. What an amazing talent. Jamie, please come to Hawaii soon.

I found it also very funny when the Dutch drummer was going to sing everlesting love, and after that, o, o, Den Haag. you should have seen the look on you're face!!hahha!! It was something I never forget my whole life!!not that, and not the whole concert. I have been in london, a few days after the concert, and I have made picture's of the london skies, for my ant:P ;)

Oh? We can post, too! ... Right, so I'm really late with adding my comment- let's say about 4 months- but I still fully recall that day! It was the best gig I've ever been and that's not just because it was a lovely day for a nice picnic and jazz (which is a great combi- especially with that wine!) but also because Jamie is the best entertainer/musician EVER! It was so cool! I was there with my friend Ilse (some might remember us as 'the girls with the homemade shirts'?) and it was so cool that Jamie responded to our shirts, and our rose too. I think it's a really good thing if you can get the audience involved in what you're doing... For us it couldn't have been a better day! Jamie made our day! lol. The energy we all carried was just amazing, and I don't think Jamie sang out of key once- NOT ONCE! So all the admiration in the world to you... for I'm really into music and I know for a fact that I am going to make a CD in my life... and Jamie Cullum and the band (cause where would anyone be without a BAND?!) will be my main influence! I know I'd written on that rose 'You rock my sock' but after that night it really is: You rock my sockS!' thank u thank u thank u for coming to holland... And please soon come back again! For the dutch, cary much, about your music, jazz, a picnic and U! As they say 'Stay in touch, with the dutch!'

The atmosfere was great. We enjoyed every minute of it. As the organisation had given everyone a picknick basket with something to eat and also small bottles with Freixenet bubbly wine. During the concert you could hear a contant popping sound of the opened bottles. It wasn't disturbing. It was an intense relaxed atmosfere where the local residents were specially pleased with the "Oh oh Den Haag" been done on the set. We still have a small bottle in our fridge which reminds me every time about a great concert and a very good time. I'm hoping Jamie will visit Holland again and if possible in the Jazz in the Park festival. Cheers!!!
