I've been in Cologne yesterday, and I waited since three o'clock in the afternoon for beginning the concert. I 've been at many gigs, especially oasis, but i've got to say that this gig was the best ever. I've never seen a show like this. The greatest point was Photograph, teardrop, and many the carribean fever!!! Thanks to Jamie and his band. Your german is not so bad as you think, and I hoper that we'll see again in cologne or somewhere else in the Ruhrgebiet.

What an amazing night we had! The band is playing very relaxed at the end of the tour. All heppened impressively in a "just let things happen and jam together" mood, but although with a lot of passion and energy. And I'm so pleased that the big instrumental parts of the whole band and the long solos on several instruments are back. I think Jamie found a way now to lead the band at one hand but to give the others enough room for their own performances. Rory's trompet solo for example was at the beginning a bit insecure - it was a bit worse than in Freiburg, but although he had some time to fit in again and at the end it turned out to be just fantastic.... and then just at the point when it was at its best, the whole band joined in to support him. That was one of my "close to tears"-points... I think the very special charm of this band is, that it's so visible how they even turn kind of "more agressive" jazz rituals like "rivalry in presenting the own instrument" in something friendly and supporting. It's less the "I'm better than you"- thing than rather something like "look, what I can do"... and then the others try to play with it and around it. The Teardrops/Massive Attack cover with loop machine and stompbox was so mindblowing that I couldn't even breath for a while; and that we had the opportunity again with the audience choirs to be a tiny little part of it musicalwise too, made me happy for hours, maybe even days - it's so satisfying to be a part of an amazing sound, isn't it?

Wooooooooo! Wasn't planning on going, but I'm glad I did make the trip to Cologne. Best gig I have seen in a long long time by the band. Some true treasures were performed, such as Teardrop, My Yard. Loved every minute! Massive ahout out to Nizlopi for being one amazing opening act. It was nice seeing them live again! I had a great time and I can't wait to see you lot live again, in different projects.

I've been going to Jamie gigs for two years now, and I can honestly say it was one of the best. Maybe it was the band being so relaxed, maybe it was the venue or maybe it was the people I was with. Either way, I had a blast. The band seemed more at ease than I've ever seen them, joking around on stage, doing fab solos (eventhough Tom was a bit scared!). The last gig of this tour and I couldn't have wished for a better setlist. Teardrop was just breathtaking and going into High and Dry made it even more special to me. Thanks to the Jamie Cullum Experience for making my world perfect for at least one evening.
