You've done it again. You've made it all new again. Thanks to each of you for the tremendous performances. Another great night in New York.

This was one of the very, very best Jamie gigs I've ever seen; he threw some new things into the mix, as he always does. He's restored a good chunk of piano solo to Frontin' - YAY!!! - and, as in Atlantic City, had a "real" rapper, King James, join the guys onstage to contribute a rap section to the middle (I don't like rap, but I have to say, this worked) Jamie was in excellent voice: I've heard him when he has had a touch of laryngitis, and while he never, ever disappoints, it is noticeable: at Roseland, he sounded as best as he ever has. Some of the old favorites - Frontin', High & Dry, even London Skies and Photograph - sounded subtly different - different chords and/or tempos - and this is always welcome: keeps it all fresh. The show in general sounded new and "remixed" - the shows in the spring were fairly similar to those in March, so this one really stood out as new and different. A highlight for me (I love the standards!) was But Not for Me - he'd done this impromptu at Atlantic City (I think that was the gig), and I suppose he was pleased with it, because this time he did it as a solo number with just Geoff on the stand-up bass, and used the mike for his vocals only minimally, singing much of the song unamplified - love it when he does that, because the guy can really project. (There was another standard he threw in, towards the beginning of the show, but I forget which - can anyone help me out? Hopefully the setlist will appear here soon enough.) The energy in this gig was unbelievably high - "You're going to have a hard time getting me off this stage tonight!," Jamie said at one point, grinning as wide as the Cheshire cat. And he delivered on that - they all did. Geoff and Seb - well, what can you say about Geoff and Seb that hasn't been said 100 times before - they were both as technically brilliant and musically superb as ever. The more often I see Tom, the more I appreciate his excellent gift for improv - the guy is just very, very good and very exciting to watch/hear (and a really friendly, cool guy, too). Rory sounded better than ever, with (the way I hear it) even greater lyricism in his trumpet lines. This band, I'll say it again, is one of the best I've ever heard. A musician friend who came with me thought so, too. This was his very first Jamie experience, and he was amazed at the breadth of Jamie's musical knowledge, talking about how brilliantly Jamie just smashes genres. Well, we all know that Jamie is all about just that! Special mention of the Yeast Culture visuals; I'd never seen them before, and I think this was my 10th Jamie gig, if I'm not mistaken. The great live camera work plus the existing footage contributed to the overall excitement of the show - a very welcome addition. Thanks, Jamie. Until next time. Love to you, always, from all of us.

My third concert this year and Jamie never gets old. His performance was, once again, fantastic. His energy and obvious joy while performing, despite a grueling tour schedule, made the New York concert a joy. I left the show completely satisfied, and eager for the next CD. Thank you for an unforgettable night!!! I look forward to the next show.

WOW! Just when I think Jamie and the boys can't get any better...they prove me wrong! Everything seemed "kicked up a notch" tonight. To quote Carly Simon..."Nobody does it better...baby you're the best!"

Amazing concert! Jamie's energy was so high that it kept the crowd going the entire two hours he played. "King James" (aka James Kinney) came out to freestyle rap on a song, and it was incredible. I even got to meet him after his appearance as he went to the bar and he was nice enough to give me a copy of his demo. (Check out www.myspace.com/hearkingjames) Highlights: "SexyBack" - "London Skies" - "Photograph"

After 10 hours on a flight from the UK it was going to take something special to keep me awake. Tremendous show! High energy and great entertainment. the man did everything, piano, drums, various percussion, acoustic guitar and a bit of freestyle rap thrown in. Will definitely go again to see him when he's back in old blighty. Best line of the night "Don't you wish your boyfriend was short like me".....short maybe, but not in talent.
