This was the best concert I've ever seen! Great artist, great music, great location. I saw Jamie in Bonn, Germany this July, which was also really great, but he's just getting better by the day! It's unbelievable how much talent and energy only one person can have, in this case Jamie. He loves what he does and that's exactly what you feel when you see him live on stage. He's such a wonderful and amazing musician, it rips my heart out and blows my mind. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like that. Way to go, Jamie! Keep up the stunning work and I'm looking forward to seeing you again soon... -Anna

This is the 2nd time I've seen Jamie in DC. The 1st time was last March. All I can say is WOW!! The best concert I've ever been to-and I've been to alot. Didn't think he could top his performance of last march, but boy did he ever. He was absolutely amazing! He tried alot of different stuff and the crowd (including me) ate it up. You can tell he really enjoys playing here! He really pumped up the crowd and his performance was electric. Can't wait till he comes back again!

My first Jamie concert and loved every minute of it! I drove from Greenville, SC to D.C. just to see him. He is simply the best!!

What a totally wonderful, unexpected weekend adventure. Decided Friday night that I needed to be at Saturday night's gig, so went online and purchased my gig ticket and train tickets down to DC. I was delighted to note that while I was on line outside the venue, they posted a "Sold Out" sign! Love that! The venue itself was the tiniest, crappiest-looking place you can imagine, but not a problem, since it was a total blast: very relaxed and friendly staff, and a good sound system. The stage was low, only waist-high, which gave me a place to rest my arms when I took up my favorite spot, right at the piano stool (some of my friends decided they wanted to be center stage, but for me, Iíll always take the opportunity to watch Jamieís hands on the keyboard, if I can). The stage was also miniscule ñ the piano stool was perhaps three feet from me, perhaps less ñ the closest Iíve ever been, even though Iíve almost always been first-row-piano at the standing gigs Iíve gone to. Being that close, I was able to observe something Iíd always known, but this time, it struck me in a particularly powerful way. Itís well known that the concept of a pre-determined ìset listî is totally foreign to Jamieís shows; Jamie starts playing, and only then do the guys go pick up or sit at the various instruments they play for that song. Well, this time, being that close - close enough even to catch some unamplified sound - I saw in anew just how much into a trance to the music Jamie seems while heís performing: he is, of course, extremely attentive to his audience, but I really do think that while heís actually playing, thereís nothing else in the world for him but the music. I would guess he doesnít have a single conscious thought about what song to play next, what snippet of a song to interpolate into another, or even how to vary the way heís playing a given number ñ it all seems to be a totally emotional, instinctive, non-conscious flow of music, sweeping Jamie himself along as effectively it does the audience. The set list was very special. I was blown away by ìMy Funny Valentineî ñ that was the one that got me weepy this time. Just amazingly beautiful, so intense, so deeply felt ñ WOW. And Roryís solo was amazing (he just keeps getting better and better). ìLiar Liarî was a real treat, and it was phenomenal to hear ìLover You Should Have Come Overî again ñ hadnít heard that one live in a while ñ very intense and affecting - and also, ìSeven Days to Change Your Life,î which I hadnít heard Jamie perform since Irving Plaza in New York a year ago. I love the standards, and it was terrific to hear ìI Canít Get Started.î ìTeardropî was an amazing, beautiful cover ñ I was blown over. A very moving, fantastic show. SOOO glad I decided to go. After the show, a number of us were lucky enough to have some time with Jamie and some of the other guys in the tiny, crowded, noisy bar below the club. Jamie is the sweetest guy in the world ñ he was so appreciative of my coming to yet one more show. I had to leave after a while to make sure I caught my train back home to New York, but I was so happy and satisfied and content, it was OK. It was a great show, with great people to hang out with, and the best impulsive decision Iíve made in a long time. And well worth a train trip back home at a ridiculous hour of the morning and being totally worthless from exhaustion Sunday!

This was the 5th time I've seen Jamie and the band and they were just fantastic. Great Saturday night audience and a freestyle set created an unforgettable gig. This is a great place to see Jamie, and there is a bar downstairs where the band mingled with fans afterwards.

Jamie did it again! This was not the show to miss! We absolutely loved listening to Jamie and watching him perform. His energy is so fascinating. We love that he sang what we wanted to hear and even started with one of our many favorite songs...Photograph. Jamie PLEASE record your rendition of Teardrop on your next cd. I promise to buy many of them if you do! A big fan, Lisha

Jamie and the guys were excellent, as usual. It was obvious that he was having a great time -- so was everyone else! At one point, Jamie invited a young handsome man on stage to rif and he was awesome. The stage at the 9:30 Club is very low so it felt very intimate to be so close to the band. Seb gave us the most amazing drum solo I've ever heard. I don't even care for drum solos, but this was special. Thanks for the best show I've ever been to! Please come back soon!

This was the best concert I've ever been to. Jamie is an amazing performer - very animated, energetic, and musically talented beyond belief. His voice is amazing but so are his piano and guitar skills. He was my favorite singer before the concert and now he's even higher in my book. If you're considering going to a show, definitely do!
