from Holly (Bez)

This gig was the best Christmas present I received by far. After bouncing on stage in full swing, 'Lucky so and so' seemed an appropriate song for both Jamie and members of the audience alike. In-between songs (and even during songs) Jamie interacted beautifully with the audience telling us of the origins of his work, funny stories and even performing up and down the aisles to the delight of those lucky enough to have seats in the stalls. More tracks from Twenty Something followed, broken up with fantastic reinterpretations, including 'High and Dry' and 'Whose my generation'. New material, such as the inspiring 'Why Do Today What You Can Do Tomorrow?' highlighted Jamie's talent not only for original composition but song-writing too. The night was made even more joyous by the incredible skill of the band - working together they moulded into one yet each instrument clearly distinguished. The audience was left begging for more, but a good time was had by all and we returned home tired (too much dancing in the aisles!) but exhilarated.
