Beginning of the end.

It's Saturday night. I'm going to New York tomorrow to play a 3 week engagement at the The Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel.

When I get the chance I'm gonna post some messages up here and let you know how the chips are falling in good ole NYC and beyond. It's a pretty big deal to be invited here to play, no European has done it before. It's previous guests have been the likes of Harry Connick, Jr, Diana Krall, Peter Cincotti, Curtis Stigers etc. Also, none of this lot have ever really deviated off of the Great American Songbook for their performances. I wonder what they are gonna make of Radiohead and my "piano slapping" exploits?

I'll let you know this and loads of other random info as and when I can find a cybercafe. Right, back to the packing.........
