From the New York Times

When the scrappy English jazz singer and pianist Jamie Cullum performs "Blame It on My Youth," his age (only 24) and frisky personality lend the regretful ballad a desperate immediacy that a more mature interpreter could never evoke. Mr. Cullum, who made his memorable New York cabaret debut at the Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel on Tuesday evening, is a natural showman with the confidence of a bantam rooster waking up the neighborhood with his crowing. read the whole article..

Pre-Order and Download

We are under three weeks away from the release of Jamie's hugely anticipated new album. Twentysomething brilliantly capture's Jamie's talent and personality, and the choice of repertoire reflects his own diverse musical inspirations. Alongside sensational reworkings of standards such as What a diffference a day made, I Get a kick out of you and Blame it on my youth, Jamie presents his own compositions All at Sea and the title track Twentysomething. He also presents covers of more contemporary songs by Jeff Buckley and Jimi Hendrix. The album makes for exhilarating listening.

Jamie is currently in New York making his debut at the legendary Oak Room, the venue that helped to break Harry Connick Jnr and Diana Krall amongst many others. At the end of October he returns to release the album (20th October) and to make his second appearance on the Parkinson TV show (25th October).
