Press Release
Jamie has added two major television appearances to his schedule for August: a performance August 5th on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and a special on-location edition of VH1's top-video coundown taped at a benefit for New York's non-profit Housing Works organization August 17th (airing beginning August 28).
The appearances will add to an already busy August for Cullum, who returns to the U.S. for an encore tour following the breakout success of his new album 'Twentysomething' (Verve). In addition to a headlining slot at the 50th Anniversary of the Newport Jazz Festival, Cullum will play high-profile shows at the El Rey theatre in Los Angeles and the Delacorte Theatre in New York's Central Park , as well as dates in Boston, St. Louis, San Diego, and Boulder, CO.
Success continues unabated for Cullum's debut 'Twentysomething,' which has sold nearly 100,000 copies in the U.S. and has been #2 on the Billboard contemporary jazz chart in each week since its May release. This week, the album's first single "All At Sea" breaks into VH1's top 10 most-played list for the first time. [more...]
