4th of August 2005 - Secret Gig

Last night Jamie played a (fairly) secret gig at the Jazz Singers night at the Spice of Life in London's West End. A relaxed group of 80 or so fans enjoyed three hours of fun and laughs with Jamie, Seb, Geoff and Derek Nash on sax, playing old favourites, tracks from the new album and songs that they haven't performed before and may never play again! The gig was a thank you to Paul Pace of Rays Jazz Shop who promotes the Jazz Singers night, helping forward the careers of so many new artists. Sticking with tradition, the third set was turned over to a steady stream of guest vocalists including Geoff's wife Trudy who sang with Jamie and co. as the backing band. www.spicejazz.co.uk, rays jazz at foyles.co.uk
