No surprise, but Jamie's concert left me speachless.
He was interactive with the crowd, jumping into the crowd with his sax and trumpet player, and without the aid of any mikes, blew away the crowd with his stellar voice and obvious love of doing what he does. His back up band had amazing skill and were smiling ear to ear. Bringing out the base players wife to sing back up was a pretty cool touch, you could tell it wasnt totally planned. He showed that he is there for a good time, and to make sure we all did too.
He played a variety of songs from all his CD's, while I love the new CD and have it on heavy repeat on my IPOD, it was awesome to hear "Photogragh", "Frontin" "These are the Days" and other favorites that hold special meaning to all fans alike.
I cant say enough good things about it. I am a dedicated fan Ill admit (front row with crutches, what can I say) but honestly truely, this concert has ruined me for all others in the future, unless of course it is Jamie Cullum again in Vancouver.
Thanks for the awesome show! Dont be shy to come back, we dont just need a new cd as an excuse to come see you!
