I was in England around 2002, 2003. I went to a friend's house for dinner and in the background was music. It caught my ear. It was Jamie Cullum. I bought the "Twenty Something" CD at Heathrow. I got back to Philadelphia and I saw that Jamie was appearing at Zanzibar Blue. My "then" wife and I went to the show. VERY small venue. Just a small dinner show. Jamie actually came up to our table and sang without a microphone. My had no clue at the talent she was witnessing. Hence... the "then" wife. She is gone. I have since seen Jamie at the World Cafe Live, Verizon Center and just last week at the Keswick Theater. People compare him to Bubble. No comparison. The best I've seen him since Zanzibar. I'm 61 and I love great music. "The Pursuit" is GREAT music. Jamie's show at the Keswick was outstanding. I'm looking forward to the next show. Wish I could see him at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. Now THAT would be something! RT
